SOAR
I came from Women who could fly So I was taught to be a Lady and a Legend Sometimes my earth is hell but my escape is heaven My Grandmother can fly and Her Mother could fly So my glory will never be denied Although many enemies have tried to keep We flyers tied I saw My Mother can fly and My Aunties fly So I know My Sister and My Baby will fly too I heard stories of days when our cousins flew I came from Women Who Could Fly I Can Fly but my eyes aren’t on the sky Soaring to my dreams Teaching other Black Queens to stretch their beautiful wings Being sad never made u rich .... off my chest so i can breath .... halo cracked over me ... grace mercy above me So I FLY

Google defines gratitude as the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. How often do you give gratitude to yourself? Gems, have you ever given so much of yourself that you forget you? Often our cup overflows for others but can become so empty for ourselves. I challenge you to write a positive message to yourself everyday this week and on next Sunday, take the time to read through them.
